The ask

Create an exclusive Chase Sapphire Reserve experience at the Sundance Film Festival that felt elevated, timeless, and worthy of its cardmembers. The event needed a distinct identity, complete with an event logo, bespoke visual system, décor, gifting opportunities, and intentional brand touchpoints that enhance the dining experience.

The result

A thoughtfully crafted brand experience set within an intimate, high-end restaurant in Park City, Utah. Through a custom visual identity and carefully considered details, every touchpoint worked together to create a memorable evening that felt both premium and personal, reinforcing the exclusivity and sophistication of the Sapphire Reserve brand.

Custom illustrations

To further immerse guests in the experience, I created a series of bespoke illustrations inspired by the charm of Park City, the spirit of skiing, and the space itself. Used as graphic accents across printed touchpoints, these illustrations became a visual thread that tied the entire event together. These illustrations were also closely tied to similar illustrations created for a variety of other Sapphire Reserve events. The addition of these custom drawings furthered the connection attendees felt to the brand.

Custom plaid exploration

The ski-inspired theme opened the door for an additional design layer: a one-of-a-kind plaid study. Combining the event's brand palette into a series of custom tartans, I created an elegant nod to mountain culture that was carried throughout the experience as a signature backing on printed pieces.

Moodboards & concept exploration

The early stages of this project required some “blue skies” thinking. Ideas for themes, decor, furniture, and gifting were all explored as though there were no limits. Below is a peek into some of those early ideas.
